Come Home Walking

When I was home in New Zealand last week, I went for a walk down the West shore of Lake Ohau.

It’s an immense place, looking North to Aoraki, New Zealand’s highest peak, and East to Ben Ohau.

A short diversion up Parson’s Creek capped off the 6hr trek with a beautiful birch forest and a great hop down the creek.  Something about clambering and leaping along with water like this is always an incredibly refreshing and grounding experience.. the stuff that makes me wanna come home.

Ironically I missed seeing The Nudge play in Melbourne while in NZ, so when I grabbed a copy of their album, I couldn’t resist cranking the relentless track ‘Come Home’ to some wandering/stomping video I snapped on my walk and it just seemed to work.

Thanks heaps to Ryan, James and Iraia for letting me use the track. Love it.

Grab their album here.
